The Gallia County Port Authority (GCPA) held its first ever meeting on April 16th, where it made important first steps to further economic development. The GCPA was established by the Gallia County Commissioners in the fall of 2026 as another tool in our development toolbelt. Under Ohio law, port authorities have special powers to support development projects. Now that the GCPA is operational, Gallia County will have another set of tools to support development.

The first board of directors of the GCPA includes Wes Clary, Kate Cox, Nick Smith, Rick Jackson, and Corey Luce. We appreciate your volunteer service to further Gallia County!

We have some exciting news to share - K3 Copper will be building a new manufacturing facility in Gallia County! This will be Gallia County's first new manufacturing facility of this scale in many years. This facility will serve the steel industry and will provide well-paying jobs for the area. Welcome to Gallia County!

This project was supported by the Gallia County Commissioners, Ohio SE, and JobsOhio. We appreciate their partnership!

We were honored to have Congressman Dave Taylor in Gallia County last week. We shared with him details of the spec building, plans for the Dan Evans Industrial Park, and toured the Kyger Creek Power Plant with him. We were pleased to also have Commissioner Jeremy Kroll participate in the tour of the Industrial Park. We appreciate Rep. Taylor's insights and advocacy for development in southeastern Ohio!

We are thrilled to share that our team will soon begin construction of a 50,000 SF spec building in Gallia County! There has been huge demand for square footage in our county, but little to no inventory to market. This building will be an excellent tool to attract a new company to Gallia County or to aid existing company in their growth.

We are pursuing both lease and sale options for this property. Please reach out if you have any questions.
