UPDATE 9-4-2026 11:00 am:

The phone line issue is a wide spread issue. They have narrowed it down to Franklin County and now trying to come up with a solution. Currently our 911 lines are still transferred to Lawrence County and admin lines are working sporadically. Will update when we learn more. We still have the 2 cell phones in the office if you cannot get through on the other lines. 740-339-3057 and 740-339-0976

Currently we are experiencing phone line issues on both 911 and administration lines. All 911 lines have been transferred to Lawrence County 911 and they can get ahold of us via cell phones. If you have a non emergency call for the Sheriff Office, Gallipolis Police or Rio Grande Police Dept. you can dial 740-339-0976 or 740-339-3057 we will update the public as we receive information from AT&T on what the issue is.
