(March 14, 2025 / 11:45 a.m. CDT): Here's a look at the expected timing for tonight's (Friday, March 14) severe weather, with damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes all possible.

➡️Have multiple ways to receive weather alerts.

➡️Make sure your NOAA weather radio is plugged in and programmed to your area’s station. Add new batteries.

➡️ Charge your cell phone. Turn off “Do Not Disturb” to make sure you can receive alerts.

We are also tracking the potential for severe storms Saturday (March 15) into Saturday night. Prepare now and stay weather aware!

The members of the Gallaway Fire Department would like to say a heart felt goodbye and thank you to our chief Michael Till. Chief Till has worked extremely hard to build the department into what it is today. We couldn’t ask for a better leader and friend.

As of this past Thursday Chief Till as accepted and took on the Chiefs position for the City of Somerville, TN.

Good luck Chief and thank you for what you have done for the department and the residents of our great city. You will be missed.

Please continue to use caution on local roads. Your Gallaway fire personnel have been out monitoring road conditions. Back roads are still bad. Another round of winter weather is expected tomorrow morning which may cause already bad road conditions to get worse.
