Today, Sumner County EMS was proud to provide medical standby support for the Color Our Community Safer 5K!

It was an incredible morning filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit as participants raced through clouds of color for a great cause. 🚑🌈

Our favorite, Andy the Ambulance, had a blast joining in on the action racing participants and helping everyone cool off by spraying water along the course!

We were also honored to see Hendersonville Mayor Jamie Clary take part in the race and support this outstanding community event.

A special thank you to TriStar Skyline Medical Center, TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center and TriStar Summit Medical Center for inviting us to be part of such a great community event and for helping bring our community together for a fun and meaningful day.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the event such a success. Together, we continue to color our community safer!

We wrapped up our final EMS Week picnic today, and it was a great way to close out the week. Our crews got to enjoy some amazing food from Andre's Barbecue, spend time together outside of the daily rush, and we finally managed to get a large group photo with half our crews together.

A big thank you to Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas for sponsoring today’s picnic and taking the time to come out and meet our crews. Support from our community partners means a lot to us, especially during a week dedicated to recognizing the people who answer the call every day.

EMS Week may be coming to an end, but we’re thankful every day for the men and women serving Sumner County.

Day 2 of EMS Week picnic fun is in the books! 🌮🚑

A huge thank you to EMS Management & Consultants for helping sponsor lunch for our crews this afternoon. Nothing brings people together quite like tacos…Thankfully today, crews were able to enjoy some great food, laughs, and time together between calls.

Another special thanks to Vanderbilt LifeFlight for providing the cakes for this week. Nothing like a sweet treat before you head back out on the road.

Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center provided us with to-go snacks to keep us fueled the rest of the shift!!

Last week, Sumner County EMS was proud to provide ground medical support during joint operations training with the Tennessee Army National Guard 1-230th Assault Helicopter Battalion and TN-HART.

Training opportunities like these strengthen coordination, communication, and preparedness between agencies, ensuring we are ready to respond when our community needs us most. We are thankful for the partnership and the opportunity to work alongside such dedicated professionals.

EMS week has kicked off once again and this year we’d like to take a moment and show off our wonderful crews that respond in this county. In the next few days, we will post for you to see almost all the faces that will respond if you ever need.

Today is our A shift. Starting with our Command staff that keep this shift afloat; our crews come in every third day and respond tirelessly to serve our community here in Sumner County. We want to recognize their great effort! THANK YOU A- Shifters!
