🚨🚨severe Thunderstorm Warning🚨🚨

Storm Update: #4 and hopefully final.

Radar and storm spotters indicate tornado activity has passed.

Daviess County is no longer under a tornado warning per the National Weather Service.

Daviess County remains under a tornado watch until 9pm per the National Weather Service.

Damages to homes and other structures is being assessed and no injuries have been reported at this point. If any changes we will let you know.

Multiple cells now forming a funnel on State Highway 6 near State Highway O intersection. Funnel cloud moving in an eastern direction.

Confirmed tornado touchdown at 4:35 PM, 10 miles northeast of Gallatin moving east at 30 MPH. Take cover in any shelter possible to you, away from any windows .

The tornado shelter for Pattonsburg is at the school and it is open and has room available.

The Daviess County Sheriffs Office has received numerous calls of concerns for children riding electric bicycles.

The full Missouri State Statute is attached below.

Except as otherwise provided in this section, every person riding an electric bicycle shall be granted all of the rights and shall be subject to all of the duties applicable to the operator of a bicycle.

Bicycles are considered vehicle, and are required to follow traffic laws.
*To the operaters of motor vehicles, please be mindful of bicycles operating on the roadway.
*To those operating bicycles, please remember to follow traffic laws, drive on the right side of the roadway, and come to a complete stop at stop signs. Bicycles are also required to stop for school buses loading and unloading children.

The Sheriffs Office is very pleased to see citizens outside enjoying outdoor recreation. Please be mindful and considerate of others and stay safe.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information related to the person(s) that dumped /abandoned these 3 dogs on Highway P between Jameson and Highway K earlier today (5/13/26). The subject was seen to be driving a White Dodge Dakota Truck with a headache rack. If you have information on this, please contact the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office at 660-663-2031.
