🔥 DID YOU KNOW?

Inside a burning room, the temperature near the ceiling can exceed 600°C, while the floor may still be under 100°C (212°F) a deadly difference known as thermal layering.

💦 When firefighters apply controlled, short bursts of water into the upper gas layer, it rapidly absorbs heat and converts to steam, cooling the hot gases and reducing the risk of flashover.

This technique, called gas cooling, helps restore visibility, improves survivability for victims, and makes interior operations safer for firefighters.

🔥 Key Training Point:
Always aim to cool the environment before advancing — controlling the heat above you is as important as fighting the flames in front of you. 🚒

📌EASY WAY TO KNOW YOUR FIRE — IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE! 🔥

Most people panic when they see fire… but do you know what type of fire it is?
Not all fires are the same — and knowing what’s burning can make the difference between stopping it safely or making it worse.

Here’s what every household, student, and firefighter should remember:

🟩 Class A – Ash
Burns solid materials like wood, paper, and cloth.
👉 Clue: These leave ash when burned.

🟥 Class B – Boil
Involves flammable liquids such as gasoline, paint, or oil.
👉 Clue: These boil when heated. Never use water — it can spread the flames!

🟦 Class C – Current
Caused by electrical sources — outlets, cords, or appliances.
👉 Clue: C is for Current — turn off the power first before using the extinguisher.

🟨 Class D – Dent
Fires from burning metals like magnesium or sodium — extremely intense.
👉 Clue: Metals can cause a dent. Use only a dry powder extinguisher.

⬛ Class K – Kitchen
Common in homes and restaurants — caused by cooking oils and fats.
👉 Clue: Found in the kitchen. Never use water — it can cause a deadly flare-up!

🔥 Why It Matters:
Using the wrong extinguisher can make a fire worse — fast.
Whether you’re a firefighter or a civilian, knowing your fire gives you the power to act smart, stay calm, and save lives. 💪
