Hey, Knox County Democrats and surrounding counties. The Knox County Democratic Central Committee Headquarters on Main Street will be open for a day of action on this Saturday, June 13 at 9 am come and join us for donuts and coffee with Senator Mike Halpin and Knox County local candidates.

Join us for the 2nd Annual Miss Knox County Juneteenth Pageant held on June 13th, 2026, at Knox College Center for Fine Arts. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the program starts at 5:00 p.m.
The Miss Knox County Juneteenth pageant is a community-focused competitions that empower young African American women by celebrating cultural heritage, leadership, and personal development.
Please come out to uplift our community and its youth.

AMERICA AT 250: POWERED BY THE PEOPLE!

You may be seeing posts from groups or individuals that say No Kings has called for a nationwide protest on June 14th. It's true they sent out invitations, but it's a call to gather at Watch Parties to live stream the concert Rise Up-Sing Out, and to celebrate our freedoms as we continue to fight for them.

From the 50501 Movement: No Kings and Indivisible are changing the format for June 14th...asking groups to hold watch parties with the goal of supporting democracy, growing our base and activating members.

On Trump's birthday and on the evening of the UFC fight on the White House lawn, Americans will gather to share in what real patriotism is.

Those attending will find inspiration, can sing along, build community and plan meaningful action ahead of the midterms...we must get out the VOTE! It also gives a much needed opportunity for protestors to gather with one another somewhere other than at a protest.

No Kings has announced there will be a national rally prior to the election.

6:00 Gather and mingle at Smokin Willie's, 161 N Cherry St
6:30 Rise Up-Sing Out concert live streamed
8:00-9:00. Music, discussion, plan of action

Food will be provided, bar open.

Because we need a head count, please RSVP below by this Friday.

We'd appreciate a donation to help cover rental and food expenses. Will decide on a minimum donation once expenses are known.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 28, to join millions across the country rejecting MAGA authoritarianism in the national No Kings rally and march. In Galesburg, we will gather at 2 p.m. on the public square to show our determination and solidarity with real Americans of every heritage who have faced down ICE and supported each other through thick and thin. At the last No Kings rally, 7 million of us at 2,600 locations in all 50 states showed America that Trump's corruption and MAGA extremism must go. Add to that the hubris and stupidity of the current reckless economy-wrecking war. The damage this man has done is incalculable.
