✨ Municipal Elections are just under 2 weeks away! How do you prefer to vote—early in person voting? By mail? In person voting on election day? Although I appreciate and understand the importance of having all these options (seriously, you cannot go wrong whichever fits YOUR unique voting preference), I enjoy going to my selected location to place my vote in person on Election Day, which is where you’ll find me on April 4!
It’s only been within the last couple of years that I have begun to realize how important it is to vote in these elections. I helped advocate with the Save Hawthorne Pool group several months ago. Although the city council voted unanimously to invest in the repairs required to stay open, I will not forget the ones who were ready to close its doors without any efforts of community input; and I will not forget the ones who chose to listen and hear their community’s interest to keep it open.
