📢 PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE – CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION 2026-03

The Mayor & Council of Galena will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Town Hall (101 S. Main Street, Galena) to consider Charter Amendment Resolution 2026-03.

The proposed amendment would expand the powers and duties of the Town Administrator. Residents are encouraged to attend, learn more about the proposed changes, and provide comments during the public hearing.

🔥 MARYLAND SUMMER BURN BAN IN EFFECT 🔥

The State of Maryland's annual Summer Burn Ban is now in effect through August 31. During this time, the open burning of the following materials is prohibited:
❌ Brush piles
❌ Leaves
❌ Yard debris
❌ Agricultural debris (without approved exceptions)

The burn ban helps reduce air pollution and lowers the risk of uncontrolled fires during the hottest and driest months of the year. Please help keep our community safe by following the burn ban requirements and disposing of yard waste properly.
