An executive session to interview current candidates for the Township Administrator position.
This meeting will not be on zoom as it is only for an executive session.

This is a reminder that the Harlem Township Heritage Wednesday Farmer's Market & Food Truck begins tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27 from 4-7 PM in the Community Park! This week's food truck is Tacomania.

The Market will run every Wednesday in the park, starting May 27th through August 26th from 4-7PM.

In our last monthly email to residents, we did not include the exact location of the below event that's this Saturday. This is an update that the America 250 Workshop on Cemetery Etiquette and Care on Saturday, May 23 from 10 AM - 1 PM will be at Fancher Cemetery (on the north side of Fancher Road between Miller-Paul and Harlem Roads). If it rains, the event will move inside to the Community Meeting Room at the Fire Station. Please see the details below if you are interested in attending. Thanks!

Participants will learn about Township policies and procedures for maintaining cemeteries and gravesites. Get a first-hand look at the progress achieved from recent Township work, and be provided with a brief manual on cemetery care, maintenance, and etiquette. Sunscreen and insect/tick sprays will be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own. Note: There will be a second workshop in September. All are welcome at either one or both. Reservations are not necessary. Please dress and wear shoes for outdoor work. Contact Dave Snyder at [email protected] with any questions.

This meeting is to discuss the following topic…

An executive session to interview current candidates for the Township Administrator position.

These meetings are open to the public and currently available on Zoom. Public comments will be allowed at the beginning and end of each Board of Trustees meeting, as well as during any public hearing. Attendees are encouraged to use the time at the beginning of the meeting to provide comments on agenda items, as time will not be available for audience discussion while the business portion of the meeting is in session.

This is an update to the potential individual recycling option in Harlem Township through the new Rumpke program.

Although Harlem Township did not meet the threshold of 200 interested households by April 1 that expressed interest in signing up for individual recycling pickup, residents who missed the deadline can continue to call or email the Township office at 740-965-2661 (ext. 3), or [email protected], to be added to the interest list. We will continue to check in with Rumpke on the number of people on the list.
