Jo Daviess County Emergency Management is monitoring the damage from the storm on July 15, 2024. The Illinois Emergency Management Agency is checking to see if the state meets the threshold to declare a disaster declaration. This is only for individuals that DO NOT have insurance. Please email the Jo Daviess County Emergency Management Agency:
[email protected] with your name, address, phone number, if you own or rent the business or residence, if the structure is your primary address, your email address, and photos of the damaged area.
Reports are due Friday July 19, 2024 at 4:00 PM.

The Jo Daviess County Highway Department will cease Snow Removal operations today January 12th at around 5:00 P.M. They will resume Snow Removal operations Saturday Morning at around 6:30 A.M. Jo Daviess County is under a BLIZZARD WARNING beginning at 5:00 P.M. this afternoon and travel is not advised.

Effective immediately, Courthouse offices will be open by appointment only. Please contact the office you need to visit to schedule an appointment. Appointments are for one person at a time. Individuals with in-person appointments will be screened at the main entrance upon arrival, temperatures will be taken, COVID19 questions will be asked, and wearing a mask is required. The public is encouraged to continue doing their business remotely as much as possible using the drop box outside near the flag pole entrance, online services and USPS.

Please remember that if you have COVID-19 symptoms don’t assume it’s hay fever or a cold. Talk to your physician and get tested. Self isolate and don’t take the chance of spreading the virus. This virus effects not only people’s health but the economic viability of our local businesses. Please do your part to control the spread of COVID-19!

Jo Daviess County is facing the possibility of state forced mitigation in our region because of a rising positivity rate. We need to get our numbers down and everyone needs to do their part. If you are quarantined stay home and do your part to beat Covid-19!

Please remember social distancing and follow the IDPH and Jo Daviess County Health Department guidelines for COVID-19. We want everyone to stay healthy and our Jo Daviess County businesses to remain open. The Governor could impose further restrictions on our region as he has done around Southern Illinois. It really boils down to everyone cooperating. If you own a business, follow the guidelines for your staff and customers
