Montgomery County Archives The County Archives is the official repository for the permanently valuable records of the Executive and Legislative branches of Montgomery County Government.

The Montgomery County Archives is the official repository for the permanently valuable records of the Executive and Legislative branches of the Montgomery County government. Pursuant to the Code of Maryland Regulations 14:18:03, the Montgomery County Archives collects, preserves, and makes available, the records of the:

(1) County executive’s office and its departments;
(2) County Council and it

s departments;
(3) County Boards and Commissions;
(4) County administrative offices; and
(5) Municipal government offices.
