It’s and yes, donuts are a hole lot of deliciousness. But how cool would it be to BUILD one!? Houses, skyscrapers and hotels…all designed around this yummy sweet treat. Did you know? National Donut Day originated in 1938, in Chicago, to honor the “doughnut lassies”- a group of women from The Salvation Army who set up baked goods carts for the soldiers during World War l! 🌈 🍩

May 1st is New Homeowners Day and we’re here for it! 👏🏻 Stability. Resilience. Legacy. Comfort. Safety. These are just a few words used to describe what “homeownership” means to our Habitat families. Studies show that owning a home improves your quality of life, increasing life expectancy. At Alachua Habitat, we think it’s pretty darn cool to be part of a community that helps homeownership become a reality for those who may not otherwise qualify. We ❤️ celebrating success stories with our homeowners. Thanks to our volunteers, partners, staff, construction team and neighbors we’re able to help make a difference in Alachua County. 🏡
