Today our Toros celebrated “La Tomatina” by putting tomatoes on teachers’ doors. La Tomatina is a Spanish festival in Buñol, Spain where participants throw tomatoes at each other. It is the biggest food fight in the world!

Hoy nuestros Toros celebraron “La Tomatina” poniendo tomates en las puertas de los profesores. La Tomatina es un festival español en Buñol, España, donde los participantes se lanzan tomates entre sí. ¡Es la pelea de comida más grande del mundo!

TORO CASAS:
On September 4th, our Toros will be sorted into their casas that are named after famous cities in Spain know for their Toro traditions. Each casa will have its own colors and motto.

Each house will be an equal mix of 6th - 8th graders based on different data resources. In the Casas, students will have opportunities to receive rewards based on student performance in the school. Students will be supporting each other in their Casas to be successful.

We are excited to start this new tradition at WLAMS! Go Toros!

CASAS TORO:
El 4 de septiembre, nuestros "Toros" serán asignados a sus casas, las cuales llevan nombres de ciudades españolas famosas por sus tradiciones taurinas. Cada casa tendrá sus propios colores y lema.

Cada casa estará compuesta por una mezcla equitativa de estudiantes de los grados 6.º a 8.º, determinada mediante diversas fuentes de información. Dentro de las casas, los alumnos tendrán la oportunidad de recibir recompensas basadas en su desempeño escolar. Los estudiantes se apoyarán mutuamente dentro de sus casas para alcanzar el éxito.

¡Nos entusiasma iniciar esta nueva tradición en WLAMS! ¡Vamos, Toros!

WLAMS is getting ready for our Toros!!!! We have updated our doors, our front office and new furniture for Café Mundo. We can’t wait to see all of you at Open House on Tuesday August 4th! ¡¡¡WLAMS se está preparando para nuestros Toros!!! Hemos actualizado nuestras puertas, nuestra oficina principal y muebles nuevos para Café Mundo. ¡No podemos esperar a todos ustedes en Open House el martes 4 de agosto!
