This week, several of our officers traveled to Austin to attend the EMS World Live conference. While there, they’ll be participating in courses focused on leadership development and a wide range of medical topics relevant to today’s prehospital environment.

The knowledge, skills, and experience gained from this conference will be brought back to our crews to help strengthen communication and teamwork, expand clinical knowledge, sharpen skills, and keep our department current in the ever-evolving world of prehospital care.

We are proud to support our team’s commitment to continued education, professional growth, and providing the highest level of care to the communities we serve.

This past Friday, we had the honor of supporting one of our own in a very special moment.

As many of you know, we lost a longtime member of our CCEMS family over a year ago after his battle with cancer. He dedicated more than 20 years to this department, serving his community with compassion, strength, and pride.

This weekend, his daughter reached an incredible milestone by graduating, and we were proud to stand beside her to celebrate. While Jeff couldn’t be there in person, his legacy, love, and the impact he made on this department were felt every step of the way.

CCEMS is more than a department — it’s family. Congratulations, Anna. Jeff would be beyond proud. ❤️

🚑 Meet the Crew: C Shift 🚑

C Shift is the perfect mix of hard work, teamwork, and finding ways to have fun in between the chaos. From training together and keeping the trucks spotless, to birthday celebrations and competitive game nights at the station — this crew knows how to balance the serious moments with the ones that keep morale strong.

Behind every call is a team that trusts each other, pushes each other to be better, and always shows up ready to serve this community. The long shifts become a little easier when you’ve got a crew that feels like family.

We’re proud of the dedication, professionalism, and personalities that make up C Shift. Whether they’re studying, laughing, detailing rigs, or answering the next call, they represent what teamwork is all about. 💙🚑

Shout out to NTMC for the goodies they provided our crews this week! 😊🚑

This National EMS Week, we want to take a moment to say a massive THANK YOU to the incredible paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, and first responders who answer the call every single day. When emergencies happen, these brave men and women run toward the chaos. They bring calm to panic, healing to hurt, and hope to the darkest moments. Their dedication, sacrifice, and resilience save lives daily—often behind the scenes and without expecting a "thank you."
To our local EMS heroes: We see you. We appreciate you. We are safer because of you.

🚑 EXCITING NEWS ALERT!! 🚑

Cooke County EMS is proud to announce that we are now carrying blood products in the field—a major step forward in prehospital emergency care for our community and those passing through.

⏱️ In many critical cases, prehospital blood administration can buy valuable time—helping stabilize patients long enough to get them to the operating room for definitive, life-saving care, improving their overall chance of survival.

This advancement allows our crews to bring hospital-level treatment directly to the patient when it matters most. But we can’t do it alone!

Blood donations make this possible. 🩸

The blood we carry comes from generous donors in our community. By donating, you’re directly helping save lives right here at home.

We are committed to continually improving the care we provide and serving our community at the highest level. Stayed tuned for future announcements regarding local blood drives and consider being a part of this life-saving mission!

Together, we’re making a difference. ❤️

B Shift – A Look Inside Our Crew

B Shift is more than just a group of coworkers — we’re a tight-knit crew that operates like family. Working 48 hours on and 96 hours off, we spend a lot of time together… and somewhere between the calls, training, and late-night conversations, that bond just keeps growing.

We take a lot of pride in our training and in pushing each other to be better every shift. When things get serious, we’re ready. But in between? There’s plenty of sarcasm, laughs, and the kind of humor that gets you through the long hours.

Several members of our crew continue serving even on their days off, volunteering with departments across the county and surrounding areas — because for us, this job doesn’t really turn off.

Family is a big part of who we are. Many of us have kids, and they’re part of this extended B Shift family too — whether they’re stopping by the station or just the reason we keep showing up every day.

We’re also proud to be led by strong experience, with a captain who has dedicated 33 years to the job and a lieutenant with 18 years of service. Their leadership helps shape the culture of B Shift and keeps us grounded.

These pictures capture just a glimpse of life on B Shift — from training and calls to the in-between moments, the laughs, and yes… probably a little controlled chaos too.

This is B Shift.
