We used our imaginations in Literary Legos this round! The library kids were so exited to show us their fantastic designs, and we observed some really sweet moments of sharing. Each child took home a snack and a super cool Lego activity book thanks to our sponsor, Save the Children US, via a Summer Reading Grant. Thanks for creating with us!

UPDATE 6/26: The Tea-Rex Party is full! We do have some room on the waitlist. Thank you for your interest!

Who doesn't love refreshing drinks, sweet treats, and dinosaurs?

We're hosting a Tea-Rex tea party at the library on Friday, July 24th, at 2:00 pm. We're planning a yummy, family friendly event and we'd love to see you! Sign up by calling the library or coming in before the seats go extinct. Pinkies up!

This week in Art in the Stacks, our older library kids worked with Ms. Borden to draw some fierce, engaging dragon eyes. The artists started off in pencil and got creative with their dragon's pupil- we saw stars, ovals, and slits. Then they used colored pencils to shade in the scales around the eye and used sharpies to create definition. We loved seeing their individuality and creativity shine through!
