**Announcement**

Our department is proud to announce we have purchased a "new to us" vehicle to better serve our community. We have purchased a 2013 Ford Explorer that will be equipped with our first responder medical equipment along with some basic hand tools. This vehicle will replace our 1989 GMC that is aging and starting to have issues due to its age.

We are currently getting the new vehicle equipped with the necessary emergency equipment and Will eventually be getting it painted to match our current apparatus we have.

This vehicle was purchased solely from community donations and support from our fundraisers over the past year. Our department can not put into words how appreciative we are for the support our community shows our department.

Be on the lookout for our new vehicle to be out and about and responding to calls for our department. And as always, feel free to stop in and see it up close if you see any of our personnel at the station.

One week post Fish fry and auction and I am still thinking of all the amazing help we had!

I would like to make a special mention of the people who came out to help us cook the meal. These people are not members on the fire department, yet they still came out to help us. I am going to try not to leave anyone out: Wayne and Pam Anderson, J.B. Stone, Ann Thompson, Joey and Ricky Phillips and their families, Judy Ragland, Mary Buck and Tammy Stewart Wilson.

Another special shout out to all the wonderful people who came to help serve food, take up money, keep the dessert table stocked and help with the auction. These people are also not members on the fire department: Roger and Karen Ward, Nicki Stone, Madison Stone, Waylon Kennedy, Makynli Stone, Marissa Stone, Shalane Jones and Joe Brewer.

I would now like to take a minute to recognize our department members who were there to assist: Captain Dustin Jones, Rick Vlahos, Jason Crum and Travis Spivey. Also a thank you goes out to members: Rebecca, Moshe and Victor Varela for stopping in to help clean up after the event.

This was an amazing event which was pulled off simply by the help of these amazing people who gave their time to assist us.

One last thank you goes out to all of our businesses who donated items or money for us: Sweet Caroline Photo Design, The Pie Peddler, North Springs Music Festival, Taylor Gabbard and her boutique, Livingston Food Lion for desserts, Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, What's Poppin sweets, Nae Nae's Sweets, Janine Calvillo, Alana's Hair Shop, Encore Health, 931 Elite Logistics, 931 Permanent Jewelry and Hat Bar, Paige's Parties, Lacy Anna Smith with the Realty Firm, Shayla Lynch with Revive Esthetics, Birth Tissue Donation Services, Flynn's Lick Spooky Hollow, Justin Przytulski, Anderson Wood Working and Helen's Made For You.

If you have read down this far, thank you for your continued support. ❤️

I didn't get to take alot of pictures this year, but I seen so many people show up and show out when it came to supporting the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department at this years fish fry!

We had so many people donate items for the auction, come to eat, make donations and purchase the auction items!

When we were planning this years fundraiser, we ordered more food than we did last year so we would have plenty. While we apologize for running out of fish and to go containers.. we are thankful all the same! Our community and county residents truly showed up to support us, and we are so thankful!

I am going to attempt to recognize everyone (not FD members) that helped in some way, donated auction items and the businesses which made monetary donations in a different post! So be on the look out for that!

The Fire department members can not thank you all enough for the support and we hope to have your continued support in the future. We are thankful to serve such wonderful people.
