This past Thursday , 05/28/2026, JCEMA hosted its quarterly LEPC meeting.(Local Emergency Planning Committee). Representatives from several local and state agencies gathered to talk about emergency planning for the future. Natalie Boone of TEMA discussed her experiences from Hurricane Helene and the interworkings of the emergency operations of the event. We’d like to thank Cummins Falls State park for providing us with a wonderful meeting place at their facility. We’d also like to thank Nana’s place for donating and supplying our delicious meal for the meeting. We strive to make Jackson County safer and appreciate everyone who helps us achieve that mission.
