To the voters of Jackson County:

The Jackson County Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

The following offices will be on the Republican and Democratic ballot:

- County mayor
- Trustee
- Sheriff
- Circuit court clerk
- County clerk
- Register of Deeds
- Road Superintendent
- County commission districts 1-6
- School board districts 1, 4, 6

The first day to pick up a petition for this election is December 22, 2025.

The qualifying deadline is February 19, 2026 at 12:00 Noon.

The qualifying deadline applies to both primary and independent candidates.

Petitions may be picked up at the Jackson County Election Commission.

Tuesday, November 5, 2024
- Polls are open from 9:00am - 7:00pm
- You must vote at your designated precinct. We have 13 precincts across the county.
If you do not know your precinct, there are multiple ways to find out.

2. Download the GoVoteTn app
3. Call our office at 931-268-9284
- You must show a TN state issued ID.

We have officially moved our office! We are no longer located in the Jackson Co Courthouse.

Our new address is 238 N. Grundy Quarles Hwy, Suite A, Gainesboro, TN 38562. (Beside State Farm and Dollar General)

THIS WILL BE THE NEW LOCATION FOR EARLY VOTING! Early voting will be July 12-27th for the August 1, 2024 State/Federal Primary & State/County General Election
