March 25, 2026, is National Medal of Honor Day. It is the day on which Americans honor those members of the United States Armed Forces who have been awarded the Medal of Honor for their valorous actions.
A total of 3,552 Medals of Honor have been awarded, with the first being awarded to Jacob Parrott during the American Civil War. There are currently 64 living Medal of Honor recipients.

This month, we pause to honor the service and sacrifice of all military personnel, past and present, who have bravely served our nation. In Gahanna, we proudly support our veterans and active-duty service members.

The American Legion Post 797 hosts the annual “Walk in Our Boots” 5K and Brick Dedications, bringing our community together to pay tribute to those who have served.
