Gadsden Amateur Radio Club We meet at 7pm on the 2nd Monday of the month at the First United Methodist Church in Attalla, AL. We encourage anyone interested in this hobby to join us.

🌞 9/8/26 — YOUR EAST CENTRAL ALABAMA FORECAST! 🌞

Well y’all, looks like Mother Nature is giving us another pretty day! 💁🏻‍♀️

☀️ Today: Sunny skies with light winds around 5–10 mph. There’s a VERY small chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm, but don’t go rearranging your whole day over it! 😂 Highs will be in the lower 90s.

🌙 Tonight: Mostly clear with light winds and lows dipping into the upper 60s. Now THAT’S what I’m talking about! 🙌🏻

🌧️ Looking ahead: Rain chances start sneaking back in toward the end of the week, so enjoy the sunshine while we’ve got it!

And remember… stay cool, stay safe, and don’t let that Alabama heat fool ya! 😎☀️

WINTER OUTLOOK! I've been laboring over this the last few days, but am still hesitant to share because I'm not necessarily a fan of long range outlooks. But since there's a lot of internet chatter about the expected 'Super El Nino' and what it could mean for the winter season across north Alabama, I give you my 2026-2027 winter outlook as we unofficially wrap up summer season on this Labor Day holiday. I hope this will help with planning purposes!

🇺🇸 9/7/26 — HAPPY LABOR DAY, Y’ALL! 👩🏻‍🌾👩🏻‍🍳👷🏻👮🏻‍♂️👨🏼‍🚒👩🏼‍💼

Here’s your East Alabama forecast — and OH, do I have some good news! 🙌🏻

🌤️ TODAY: Partly sunny, winds 5–10 mph, and highs in the LOW 90s!

🎉 MOTHER NATURE HAS FINALLY TURNED OFF THE OVEN! 😂🔥
After all that boiling, steaming and sweating, 90° suddenly feels downright refreshing! We’ve officially lowered the temperature from “human casserole” to merely “slightly crispy.” 😂🥵

🌙 TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with winds 5–10 mph and gusts up to 25 mph possible. Lows in the LOW 70s — now THAT’S what I’m talking about!

📅 THE WEEK AHEAD: We’ll hang around the low 90s, with rain chances finally moving in Thursday.

🍂 Now if Mother Nature would just knock another 10–15 degrees off that thermometer, I’d be ready to declare it FALL! Bring on the football, hoodies, crisp mornings and pumpkin everything! 🏈🍁🎃
