Tonight Chief Tidmore presented Logan Reed with his black helmet in honor of graduating Hokes Bluff High School. Logan is attending the Alabama Fire College studying EMT and will begin Jacksonville State University in the fall for nursing. Congratulations Logan!

************FREE SMOKE ALARMS************

We have smoke alarms as part of the Alabama Fire College's, Get Alarmed, Alabama! Smoke Alarm Installation Program.

These alarms are sealed and do not need batteries replaced. These alarms will work approximately 10 years, at the end of the alarms life it is to be replaced. Smoke alarms are suppose to be replaced every 10 years. So if you have old alarms or no alarms in your home, please follow the link below to request installation or message us on Facebook.

These alarms must be installed by our department in our coverage area.

What's allowed

SMALL campfires and SMALL cooking fires are allowed but must be watched and done responsibly. Do not have fires when windy or when dry conditions exist.

For agricultural burns, you must contact ADEM and get a permit. If you have a permit please let your fire department know.
