Today is the day expect delays

🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT: EXPECT MAJOR DELAYS 🚨

📅 TODAY, Sunday, September 6, 2026
🕥 10:30 AM to 1 PM

The annual Convoy for a Cause will travel east along Route 5S from Fort Plain to the Fonda Fairgrounds.

⚠️ Motorists should expect significant delays throughout the Route 5S corridor, especially in Fort Plain, Canajoharie, Fonda, and Fultonville.

Traffic near Fonda and Fultonville is expected to be particularly heavy between 11:30 AM and 1 PM. NYS Thruway Exit 28 may also become heavily backed up.

🚛 Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, use an alternate route when possible, and follow the directions of traffic personnel.

Last night, we helped with our annual fair cleanup. It’s always a great opportunity for hands-on training, including hose handling and pump operations. It’s especially valuable for our newer members, giving them a chance to learn, practice, and gain experience while helping out in the community.
