In preparation for potentially dangerous severe weather forecasted across the state, I have signed an Executive Order to activate the Missouri State Emergency Operations Plan, which enables state agencies to coordinate directly with local jurisdictions to expedite assistance.

I urge all Missourians to pay attention to their local weather forecasts, follow official warnings, and have multiple ways to receive alerts – especially overnight.

⚠️ STATEWIDE TORNADO DRILL CANCELLED

The National Weather Service has cancelled today’s statewide tornado drill due to the potential for severe weather across the region.

Because of this, Callaway County outdoor warning sirens will NOT be sounded at 11:00 AM today for the drill.

While the drill has been cancelled, this is a good reminder to review your tornado safety plans.
