Itawamba County Pratt Memorial Library The Itawamba County Pratt Memorial Library is a public library for the citizens in and around Itawamba.

The library is a part of the Lee-Itawamba Library System. The library updates materials regularly to serve the community best. In addition to books, the library has audiobooks, EBooks, DVDs, newspapers, and subscriptions to online databases such as Magnolia for patrons to use. Also, the library has a number of computers that may be used by patrons of the library free of charge. In addition, the li

brary has a Mississippi room where Mississippi authors are spotlighted and patrons can look into their family's genealogy with the census records and family histories that are housed there. Besides providing these services, the library also sponsors and/or houses several community events. We have Children's Story Time every Tuesday at 4:00 PM, STEM Exploration Days on the First and Third Monday of each month, Lunching with Books on the last Friday of Select Months, a wonderful Summer Reading Program with fun events, and more. We’ll start the afternoon with crafts as we create 🪨 prehistoric-style cave drawings to decorate the library for summer and introduce kids to the fascinating world of 🔺 hieroglyphics ✍️📜.
After craft time, we’ll explore our board game collection and enjoy games with friends! 🎲👫

Bells are ringing everywhere, which can only mean one thing — summer break is here! Once your child finishes his or her final day of school, it’s time to begin reading for the 2026 Itawamba County Library Summer Reading Program.

If you have not registered yet, simply scan the QR code on the first page to sign up.

We have also included reading logs to help you keep track of your child’s reading throughout the summer, along with the rules for our Grand Prize Drawings and a reminder of what to expect during June and July. Hard copies of these forms are also available at the library.

Be on the lookout over the next few days as we announce several fun “early bird” activities for next week!

We’re excited to share our 2026 Summer Reading Program event schedule! We invite you and your children to join us for as many of these fun, free, and educational programs as possible throughout the summer.
