Our House: Caring for Callaway's Homeless

Shelter. Educate. Advocate. Our House operates two shelters. Haven House--a transitional shelter for families with children (opened in 2000).

Wiley House--an overnight shelter for men and women (opened in 2009). Our House also educates the community about homelessness and housing insecurity and advocates for those experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

Aloha 'Ohana and Friends! 🌺Our House: Caring for Callaway's Homeless is so incredibly grateful for the overwhelming love and support the citizens of Fulton, Callaway County and surrounding areas have shown us this weekend at the Fulton Street Fair. Whether you purchased our Mauna Kea Snow Real Hawaiian Shave Ice, volunteered, donated, or simply shared our vision, we couldn’t have reached this point without you.
A special heartfelt Mahalo Nui Loa (Thank You!!) to Kiwanis, our amazing partner this weekend, who kindly shared their space with us at the Street Fair. Your help, support and cooperation made all the differences in the world. When we work together in the true spirit of family and community values, there is nothing we can't accomplish. Mark your calendars for the 2026 Juneteenth celebration. It is on Sunday June 28th at the Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Church.
And join us on Saturday June 27th for our prelimanary event. We will be screening the award winning documentary "Juneteenth:Faith and Freedom"

Each day people are ending their homelessness. Permanent supportive housing, an approach that combines affordable housing with support services for individuals and families living with mental illness or other disabilities — has been proven to reduce homelessness AND save taxpayer dollars otherwise spent on costly shelters and hospitalizations.

Fact: There are proven solutions to the problem of homeless. Every day people are ending their homeless.
