More Than a Program; Sharing an OCO Success Story

When Sarah first found out she was pregnant, she remembered feeling scared and uncertain about the future. She worried about how she would provide for her baby and manage the challenges ahead.

At her first WIC appointment, Sarah expected to feel alone, but instead she found kindness, encouragement, and support from people who truly cared about her and her child.

Over the years, WIC became an important part of her family’s journey, providing healthy foods, guidance, and reassurance during difficult times.

At her family’s final WIC appointment, Sarah became emotional as her daughter picked out a book to take home. Reflecting on how far they had come, she left with happy tears and gratitude for everyone who supported her family along the way.

“WIC helped my family grow stronger, healthier, and more hopeful for the future,” Sarah shared.
