Howard County is still needing help following the tornado that tore through St. Libory.

05/22/2026

Showers and thunderstorms will continue to work their way across the region today, gradually ending from west to east with time. Not out of the question that a few storms could be on the strong side, with small hail and gusty winds. A few storms this afternoon could be marginally severe, mainly near the Highway 81 corridor. The forecast for the upcoming holiday weekend is currently dry, but confidence in that is not high...some models show the potential for late day-evening precipitation chances.

05/21/2026

The coverage of showers and non-severe storms will increase through the day today with the best overall potential coming overnight between mainly 3-11 AM Friday morning. These showers/storms will come to a close Friday Afternoon. Clearing skies behind the precipitation Saturday and Sunday will help transpire a weekend warmup. Highs will start out in the 60s today and will reach the low to mid 80s by Sunday.
