The Bullitt Movie was an experience that so many of the 51 of you were delighted with. Another unique opportunity to take the classic car for a show. As much fun as that was we did make several improvements, however.
OUR May 27th classic movie will be on the 50’ foot big screen, with FM 99.4 broadcast sound, and a concert worthy JBL Sound System, social distancing with Numbered location poles, the menu & instructions on screen, food ordering, and manageable food delivery to your car. Wow…What else could we have hoped for? Well John has agreed to us do them the 2nd Wednesday of each month. So long as we continue to draw at least 50 Cars. ( We’re shooting for 75 classic cars but we have room for more.) And that ain’t all!
We are delighted to announce that at 7PM we will feature a 40 minute, 80’s music concert on the best JBL sound system I’ve ever heard. The Eagles, Bee Gees, Chicago, Kenny Rogers plus the Blues Brothers “Love Connection” AND…At 8Pm. AND, we are honored to present brand new Country song by the infamous R & K duo with their version of “Social Distancing”. It’s that brand New country song you will find hard to get over or forget, just like the virus.
I’m happy to report I don’t make the Movie selection your votes decide. My only request is that our movies are Classics. WE did have several votes for this Delightful 80s hit “ 18 Again”, along with “Grease” and “Heart Like a Wheel” ,which I was able to obtained. But Please give me your suggestions early. Not every movie will be your favorite, but it is somebodies that is supporting this experiment with your continued attendance is a must!
This 1980’s movie , “ I wish I was 18 Again”, Stars George Burns , Red Buttons and the glamorous and sexy Anita Morris. It is a sexy Comedy, and it will make you laugh and cry, according to associated Press’ Bob Macy… It has become one of my favorites and I guarantee you it will be one of yours. For those of us who are over 50, those 80’s were almost as great as the 50’s & 60’s. and, besides, It doesn’t get any better than a summer evening at the iconic Ocala drive-in with old cars and friends. It’s a reminder of what once was and what we hope we get back to.
