FYI

Earlier today someone sent an email to several members pretending to be Worshipful Brother Tom asking for assistance and to only contact him via email. This was not him but someone attempting to scam our members into buying gift cards and sending them the card numbers.

The email came from “[email protected]”. If you received this email please delete it. If you went out an purchased gift cards, do not give out the card information.

Unfortunately this is a common scam and we’ve seen text message versions of this scam in the past.

If you get a phone call, text message, email, or instant message from someone asking you to buy a gift card or “electronic voucher” don’t do it. Call the person making the request at a number you know belongs to that person and confirm the request is legitimate.
