🦌🚗 Safety Reminder: Watch for Deer!

The Frontenac Police Department has responded to several crashes involving deer in our area. As deer become more active this time of year, we encourage drivers to stay alert and use extra caution on the roads.

🍂 Here are a few reminders:

👀 Watch for deer, especially around dawn and dusk.
🚗 Slow down in areas where deer are commonly seen.
🦌 If you see one deer, watch for others nearby.
💡 Use your high beams when appropriate and safe to do so.
🛑 If a deer enters your path, brake firmly and stay in your lane. Avoid swerving, which can cause a more serious crash.

Please stay alert, drive cautiously, and help keep our roads safe!

There have been recent reports of possible phone scams in the St. Louis region. Some St. Louis County and St. Charles County residents have reported getting a phone call from a subject stating that the resident missed jury duty and that they need to pay a fine, or threatening that they will be arrested. Usually, the caller will ask that they pay the fine by purchasing pre-paid debit cards, and sometimes they will even try to obtain personal information from the resident.

Be advised that these types of phone calls are scams. If you receive a threatening phone call or email, refrain from disclosing any personal information that they may ask for. Law Enforcement officials and Court officials will never call or email and ask for money or anyone’s personal information. Legitimate jury summonses will come in the mail. You should be skeptical of any phone calls or emails that:

- Ask for Credit/Debit card numbers, wire transfers, or bank routing numbers.
- Ask you to provide any sensitive personal information, including your date of birth or your Social Security number.

Should you receive a phone call or an email that you believe may be a scam, do not hesitate to contact the Frontenac Police Department by dialing 9-1-1 or calling West Central Dispatch Center at 314-737-4600.
