I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the outcome of the Frisco mayor’s race. While it wasn’t what I hoped for, my heart is full.
My faith, my family, and my true friends have been my foundation, and I am blessed to have them in my life. I want to thank my wonderful fiancé, Marcia, for her love, patience, and unwavering support through every challenge we faced together. To my incredible sons, Zach and Ryan, your encouragement over the years has inspired me to help build a city for families with a vision for the future.
I am deeply grateful for the support, encouragement, and trust so many of you placed in me throughout this journey. What started as a campaign became something far more meaningful. New friendships were formed, connections across our community grew stronger, and I gained a renewed appreciation for what makes Frisco such a special place to call home.
Over the past months, I had the privilege of meeting residents from every corner of our city. I listened to your stories, your concerns, and your hopes for the future. Those conversations stayed with me and strengthened my sense of purpose. I am especially thankful to my loyal friend Gopal Ponangi and his wonderful wife, Viji, who worked tirelessly to help bring people together.
From my years on City Council to this campaign for mayor, I have always believed in putting service before self and doing what is right for our city. Together, we helped shape a community that is strong, safe, and full of opportunity, and I am proud of the legacy we leave behind.
To everyone who knocked doors, made calls, sent texts, hosted events, put out signs, prayed, and supported this campaign in countless ways, thank you. This was truly a team effort, and I will always be grateful. I also want to give a special thank you to my Treasurer, Kelly Payette, for her positive energy and many contributions along the way.
Frisco’s best days are still ahead. I care deeply about this city, and I will always be cheering it on.
Thank you, Frisco. Serving this city has been one of the greatest honors of my life.
God bless Frisco, God bless Texas, and God bless the USA. 🇺🇸
Your friend, John Keating
