At approximately 09:00 on May 16, 2026, the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. participated in an exercise with many of the departments across the county. Working together to supply water for a simulated operation around the town square and courthouse. Like many exercises, many things went well and we also have some areas we can improve. A good exercise, thanks to Versailles Fire Rescue for coordinating the event. Be safe out there!

At approximately 12:45 on May 15, 2026 the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. was dispatched for the report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the 2000 Block East on Olean Road. Upon arrival, a single vehicle was found to have rolled over after reportedly being forced off the road. Fortunately there were no injuries that required transport. Also assisting on scene: Ripley Co EMS, Ripley County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police and Home Town Auto. A good reminder to always wear your seatbelt and be ready for anything while operating a motor vehicle. Be safe out there!

It is that time of year! Moore's Vet Clinic is on the road doing their annual Rabies Clinic. See the flyer below. They will be at the firehouse in Friendship on May 16th from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Bring your fur babies down to the valley and get them their annual shots. Come one, come all!

So, another ride is in the books. As always, where do you start to say thanks. The sponsors, the community that surrounds us with their undying support, the many businesses that give, the hundreds of folks that come to the valley to enjoy the day with us but mostly the hearts and hands that give of themselves during the day. Neighbors, friends, family, wives, students. This event would not be possible without their support. So, again, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!
