Thank you to the Friend City Council for voting yes on the site location for the Native Perennials garden which will be in the Northwest side of the Friend Pond Area (south of the top sidewalk).
The Friend Pond Angels were successfully awarded a grant of 64 native perennials from the Nebraska Monarch Society. Gretta picked the plants up and has lovingly cared for them till permission was granted for the site location.
The Pond Angels have also applied for a grant to provide Bullet edging around this garden + 2 other areas that need to be edged.
The Murals on the North & East side of the picnic shelter are progressing-read the description below each photo.
The Pond Angels are always welcoming new volunteers and donations to enhance many of the areas around the Spreeman/Ach Pond area .
