Dear FHES Families and Friends,

The San Juan County Fair is just around the corner, and that means itโ€™s time to start planning for the PTOโ€™s beloved Pie Booth. This is our primary fundraiser and has previously provided funds for monthly popcorn days, field trips, field day supplies, and much more! Every day of the fair last year, the pie booth had to close early due to sold-out pies! The goal is to have 80 per day, and we need help reaching this goal.

The PTO is looking for pie, cobbler, or crisp bakers as well as pie booth volunteers. Are you willing to donate a pie (or two!) to our booth? If so, please sign up here. 2026 Pie Donations https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080E44A8AA22A4FD0-64461981-piebooth #/

For health department reasons, we can only accept pies that can be served at room temperature. Pies must be dairy-free and NOT require refrigeration. Pies can be dropped off at the elementary school front doors the morning of your sign-up day at 9 am OR directly at the pie booth during the fair.

And/or are you willing to volunteer for a 2-hour shift selling and serving pies from our
booth? If so, please sign up here. 2026 PTO Pie Booth Sign Up https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080E44A8AA22A4FD0-64461264-piebooth #/

An alternative way to support us is to make sure you spread the word about donating pies and/or purchasing pies during the fair! We hope to see you all at the FHES Pie Booth at the San Juan County Fair in August.

Thank you for your support!

๐ŸŒŸ Celebrating Another Year of Support! ๐ŸŒŸ

Thank you United Way of San Juan County
The Primary Intervention Program (P.I.P.) at Friday Harbor elementary would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to United Way of San Juan County for your continued generosity and commitment to our students. Because of your generosity, we were able to provide another year of meaningful support to students who are navigating difficult changes, uncertainty, worries, and other challenges that can impact their focus and learning. Your contribution helped our students develop a sense of control over their world, build resilience, discover their strengths and gain the confidence they need to thrive in the classroom. Thank you for your partnership and support in helping to make a positive impact on the youth in our schools and community.

Dear FHES Families and Caregivers,

As we wrap up a wonderful year of reading, we are looking to reunite our library shelves with their missing stories! Currently, we still have hundreds of books checked out.

Please help us get our collection back together before the end of the year. Take a moment to check backpacks, bookshelves, and under car seats.
Please send any outstanding books back to school with your student.

Thanks for your help!
