Yesterday, our CEO Will Oliver testified at the State Assembly Revenue and Taxation Committee regular session hearing in support of AB 2377, alongside Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria, who has introduced the accelerated depreciation bill.

This bill would effectively create a new state incentive allowing for 50% upfront depreciation on manufacturing equipment statewide, and 100% first-year expensing in high-need areas. AB 2377 was designed to close the gap in depreciation schedules between federal and state tax law to improve early-year cash flow on new operations. If passed, this bill stands to strengthen the California's global competitiveness and encourage new investment in capital-intensive industries such as advanced manufacturing, clean energy, and life sciences.

- Collaborate: Attend weekly virtual sessions and work 1-on-1 with the EDC team.

đź’° Funding & Awards
We intend to award fixed-fee service contracts to a cohort of high-quality partners.
- Estimated Award: $10,000 – $15,000 per organization.
- Cohort Size: Approximately 10+ organizations.
