At the beginning of August, our team gathered for a local staff retreat to reconnect, reflect, and refocus on the work ahead.

Over a few meaningful days, we explored team dynamics through the Enneagram, visited longtime ministry partners, and spent time discerning the impact we're called to pursue over the next five years, rooted in Matthew 9:20-22.

We're grateful for opportunities like these to invest in our team, strengthen our shared vision, and continue serving our communities with purpose. 💙

Growing stronger together starts with understanding one another.

As part of our commitment to professional development, our team recently participated in an Enneagram workshop to build on previous team development work, including Working Genius, and deepen our understanding of the strengths each person brings to our team.

Through this experience, we identified individual and team strengths, discovered opportunities for growth, and strengthened the way we collaborate across departments.

Investing in our team helps us better serve our communities with greater connection, understanding, and purpose.

Last year, Xiamy Ly-Yang pitched her business at Spark Tank Pitch Fest and received funding to help decorate a new part of her restaurant, Chez Maryse. It’s been exciting to watch her continue to grow and bring her vision to life!

Don't miss your chance to apply for Spark Tank Pitch Fest on October 23! Share your social enterprise business idea for the opportunity to receive funding, mentorship, and valuable business resources to help bring your vision to life.

This year's event will be held at Fresno Pacific University, Ashley Auditorium (MCD Ashley) and will be offered in both English and Spanish. This is the first year the event will be available in Spanish!

Congratulations to this year's Children's Ministry Mini Grant recipients! 🎉

These mini grants were awarded to churches that are investing in their children's ministries by creating spaces and resources that help every child feel welcome and supported. From accommodations for children with autism to dedicated spaces for nursing mothers and other family friendly improvements, these projects will make a lasting impact on children and families throughout our community.

We're grateful to partner with our Community Engagement groups to review these proposals and help bring these ideas one step closer to reality. Congratulations to all of this year's recipients!

This spring, leaders were equipped through the Redemptive Impact Accelerator, participants deepened their calling through the Barnabas Fellowship, and church leaders gained practical tools through our Nurturing Children Certificate Program.
