The City of Fresno Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs was honored to join the Consulado de México en Fresno and community partners in commemorating the 216th Anniversary of the Independence of Mexico.

This meaningful celebration brought our community together to honor Mexico’s rich history, culture, traditions, and the many contributions of the Mexican community throughout Fresno and the Central Valley.

We extend our appreciation to Head Consul Irma Pimentel and the Consulate of Mexico for the invitation and for bringing together community leaders, organizations, and families for this special occasion.

The Office of Community Affairs is proud to continue strengthening relationships with our diverse communities and partners as we work toward a more united and inclusive One Fresno.

The Arc Fresno/Madera County & Fresno Yosemite International Airport, in partnership with SkyWest Airlines, Transportation Security Administration - TSA and Unifi Aviation present "Wings for Autism", an airport “rehearsal” designed for individuals with autism, spectrum disorders, and developmental disabilities and their families on October 17th.

Participants will practice entering the airport, obtaining boarding passes, going through security, and boarding an airplane.
