Today, dozens of first responders were treated to a complimentary meal as a small token of our gratitude for the incredible work they do every day.

To our police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and all those who answer the call: thank you for your unwavering commitment, sacrifice, and service to Fresno. ❤️🇺🇸

Special thanks to the California Armenian home at The Vineyards for hosting the luncheon.

🚨 Your drain is not a trash can.

Improper flushing or throwing materials down the drain can cause blockages and backups that threaten our sanitary sewer system.

Follow these simple tips to keep fats, oils, and grease out of your drain:
- Collect fats, oils, and grease in a sealed container and place it in your gray cart⬜
- Scrape grease and food scraps from dishes into your green cart
- Use strainers in the sink to catch food scraps and other solids

Today, former Fresno Arts Council manager Sulianna Caldwell was ordered by a federal judge to pay $1.2 million in restitution to the City of Fresno.

PayPal has refunded the Fresno Arts Council approximately $900,000 for fraudulent transactions related to Caldwell.

To date, the City of Fresno has not received a single dollar from the Fresno Arts Council to reimburse taxpayers for the misappropriated funds.

The City intends to pursue all legal avenues to recover the full amount from the Arts Council and Caldwell.

Flashing lights mean STOP. 🛑

We installed a new pedestrian crossing at Broadway and Elizabeth to help people safely cross Broadway to Broadway Parque. When the lights are flashing, slow down, stop and let pedestrians safely cross before continuing.

A few extra seconds can make all the difference.🚶🚗
