What is a Personal History Statement? 📝

A Personal History Statement (PHS) is an important part of the background process that gives your investigator a detailed look into your personal history, experience, and background.

Quick tips 👇

References: If it says 7–10, list ALL 10 …and include a current phone number AND email for each.

Chronological order: Keep your employment, residences, and other history in order.

Read the directions: Follow them carefully and provide as much detail as possible.

Be honest & forthcoming: Disclose work discipline, law enforcement contacts, past mistakes, and anything else requested. It’s better to be upfront than for your investigator to find out later.

Don’t wait until the night before! Give yourself enough time to complete it thoroughly.

Congratulations to Cadet Crisylin Mendoza on successfully completing 13 weeks of U.S. Marine Corps Recruit Training and earning the rank of Private First Class (E-2).

During Phase 3 of recruit training, Cadet Mendoza was also selected to serve as a Squad Leader for her platoon, demonstrating her leadership, discipline, and dedication throughout training.

We’re proud to have Cadet Mendoza as part of our Cadet Program and excited to see her continue to grow as a leader. Congratulations, PFC Mendoza! 👏🇺🇸
