💚 MATCH MONDAY! 💚

Today, we’re so excited to celebrate a beautiful new friendship - Monica and Marina, our newest Big & Little match through BBBSCC’s Lunch Buddies program! 🥪

Every week, Monica will sit down with Marina, share a meal, talk, laugh, listen, and simply be there. And while it may feel like “just lunch,” to a child, having someone who consistently chooses to spend time with them can mean so much more.

That’s the heart of mentorship. It’s not about having all the answers. It’s about showing up, building trust, and reminding a child that they matter.

We are so happy to welcome Monica and Marina to the BBBSCC family. We can’t wait to watch this friendship grow and see all the little moments that become BIG memories.

Sometimes, all it takes is one lunch, one friendship, and one person willing to show up.

Being a mentor is more than spending time together, it’s building trust, creating memories, offering guidance, and helping a child see the potential within themselves.

Today, we celebrate our President & CEO, Diane Phakonekham, the heart, love, and driving force behind Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California.

Diane’s leadership goes far beyond a title. She leads with compassion, purpose, strength, and an unwavering love for our Littles and the mission we serve. She has a gift for bringing people together, inspiring others, and reminding us why every child deserves someone in their corner.

This month, we celebrate the power of mentorship, connection, and believing in a child’s potential. At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California, we know that sometimes, having just one caring adult in your corner can change everything.

A mentor can be the person who listens, encourages, shows up, and reminds a child, “You matter. You are capable. Your future is bright.”

Every connection creates an opportunity for a child to grow, dream bigger, and discover what’s possible. Together, we can ignite the power and promise of youth across Central California.

A BIG thank you to Disney and ESPN for choosing Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California (BBBSCC) to be part of the incredible Let’s Play Sports experience! 💚

We’re also so grateful to ABC30, iHeartRadio, and HPA for helping make this unforgettable day at Fresno State Stadium possible!

Thank you for giving our Littles the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable day at Fresno State Stadium, where they got to participate in an amazing sports clinic, make memories, and even meet the one and only Mickey Mouse!⚽️🏈⚾️

And a HUGE thank you to MakeLine Productions for capturing these beautiful moments and helping us preserve the smiles, laughter, and memories that made this day so special. 📸

From the field to the magic, it was a day our Littles won’t soon forget!
