🚒 CPR Training!!! 🚒

Last week, members of the Frenchville Fire Department took part in hands on training to sharpen and refresh their lifesaving skills. Firefighters reviewed CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants, along with important topics such as choking emergencies and opioid overdoses.

While we are not an EMS department, our crew is often called to assist ambulance teams and at times, we may be the first responders on scene. Having these critical skills ensures we are always ready to help when our community needs us most.

We would like to thank all of our firefighters who attended and continue to show their commitment by dedicating their time and effort to providing the highest level of service possible.

A big thank you goes out to Paul Couturier and Andrew Guerrette for organizing and leading this valuable training!

We'd also like to thank a special community member that made a generous donation that allowed us to purchase a second AED which has the capabilities of being used on adults and children! One of our AED's will respond with our main engine and the second one will be responding with our UTV.

We are proud to serve the Frenchville community!!!🔥

❄️Ice Water Rescue Training❄️

Last Saturday, the Frenchville Fire Department participated in a joint ice water rescue training with the Madawaska Fire Department. During this hands-on training, several members braved the cold and rainy conditions and successfully completed certification at both the Technician and Operations levels.

Trainings like these strengthen our ability to respond to emergencies on our frozen lakes, ponds, and rivers. While we hope this specialized training is never needed, rest assured that your local fire departments are continually working to stay prepared and ready to respond to unique and challenging rescue situations.

We would like to thank the Madawaska Fire Department - Offical Page for the opportunity to train together and continue building strong partnerships that, at the end of the day, benefit the safety of all of our communities!!!

The hole is cut!!! Looking for swimmers (not really, the area is coned and ribboned off)
Risk assessment ✔️, purchase of specialized equipment ✔️, training ✔️, actual rescue- hopefully we never have to but rest assured the dedicated members of these 2 Fire Departments will be prepared to respond!
Tomorrow 3-7-26 Madawaska FD along with Frenchville FD will be doing their first Ice Water Rescue training. The exercise will be between the hours of 8am and noon and will be at the pond between Hill Ave and Nelson Ave in Frenchville. The public is welcome to come watch but for your safety, please stay off the ice and do not block the street.
On another note - If this looks fun or if other types of rescue/ firefighting related topics peak your interest, get a hold of me and we can talk about opportunities that we have to offer. We're always looking for like minded individuals who have "itch" or sense of duty and that want to do some pretty cool stuff. And in case you're wondering we're all a little weird or messed up because jumping into balmy 33° water is not fun to most people - Chief Albert

🚒 Frenchville Fire Department Annual Recognition Night🚒

Last night the Frenchville Fire Department honored two firefighters reaching incredible milestones within our department. Please join us in congratulating...

Captain Roger Dube with 25 years of service

Captain Mark Albert with 30 years of service.

A combined 55 years of unwavering service to our community!

We also want thank all of our Frenchville firefighters. Your continued dedication and commitment to keeping our community safe do not go unnoticed. Whether it’s the middle of the night or during the day, you answer the call without hesitation.

To Our Firefighter Families...
Behind every firefighter is a supportive family. We want to recognize the spouses, children, and loved ones who sacrifice their time so our members can attend late night trainings, meetings, and emergency calls.
Without your support, this department would not be able to operate at the high level that we do. You are the backbone that allows us to do our jobs.

THANK YOU!

🎉 Our Christmas Gift Came Early This Year! 🎁

We're absolutely thrilled to announce that our new UTV has arrived!

This wouldn't have been possible without the incredible generosity of our community—you truly made this an achievable goal for the Frenchville Fire Department!

We'd like to extend a huge thank you to:
Every single person who supported our UTV Chicken BBQ and Raffle Ticket Fundraiser!
The individuals and local businesses that made generous donations to help us reach our goal.
Fort Kent Powersports for working closely with us to make this unit a reality.

What's Next? We're now moving on to the final step-getting the UTV upfitted with emergency lights, specialized equipment, and custom gear.

This UTV is a critical addition that will significantly boost our capabilities to serve the Town of Frenchville and our mutual aid partners.

It will be used for:
🚨 ATV and Snowmobile Rescues
🔥 Wildland and Grass Fires
💧 Remote Water Supply Operations

Thank you, Frenchville and surrounding community members for your unwavering support. Your dedication keeps us safe!
