Park of the Month: Frank Fisher Park! 🌳

This September, we’re shining a spotlight on Frank Fisher Park, a neighborhood favorite and community gathering space in northern Fremont!

The park features drinking fountains, two spacious playgrounds, tennis courts, a softball field, and plenty of open green space making it a great spot for families, recreation, and everyday outdoor fun. 🎾⚾

Tiny Tots classes begin next week on September 2! 🌟

Give your little one a fun and welcoming introduction to learning through play-based activities, hands-on learning, and creative exploration. Tiny Tots programs are available for children ages 3–5 at several Fremont locations:

Our first Movies Under the Stars of the season is this week, and the banners are up at the Central Park! 🎬✨

Join us this Friday, August 28, for a FREE outdoor movie night featuring the film Hoppers! Come early and stop by The Launch Snack Bar near the Lions Picnic Area from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for pedal boat rentals, snacks, beverages, and more before the movie begins. 🍿🥤

Our mascot, Rege the Raccoon, will also be making an appearance, so make sure to stop by for a photo! 🦝📸

The Centerville Community Center will be closed on Monday, August 24 for scheduled electrical work. Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, August 25.

Starting this week, Pedal Boat rentals and The Launch Snack Bar at Central Park will be open only on weekends from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. through Labor Day weekend.☀️🚤

If you haven’t made it out yet, now’s the time! Spend the afternoon exploring Lake Elizabeth with family or friends, then grab a milkshake, hot dog, or other favorite snack at The Launch. 🌭🥤🥨🕶️

Make the most of the last weekends of summer and come check it out before the season wraps up!

From Thursday, August 20 through Friday, August 21, the playgrounds at Crandall Creek and Brookvale Parks will be closed to undergo repairs. During this time, both playgrounds will be closed to the public and will reopen on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Quarterly maintenance is now finished at both Central Park dog parks! 🐶🌳

Our team completed deep steam cleaning, shrub and tree maintenance, and disinfected the turf, structures, fixtures, and drinking fountains to help keep the park clean and comfortable for everyone.

Thank you for your patience during the temporary closure. Stop by and enjoy a freshly maintained space with your pup! 🐕💚
