It was a fun day of basketball and reading at Thrive City! On May 16, AC Library attended the 2026 Reading Celebration presented by Ross Dress for Less. We joined fellow reading advocates from across the Bay Area, including Reading Partners SF Bay Area, Chapter 510 & the Dept. of Make / Believe, and San Francisco Public Library.

The event included storytimes by basketball players and a magic show. Our Education and Literacy Services team also led a hopscotch activity all about vowels! It was great to see so many kids join the fun and celebrate reading together.

Thank you to the Golden State Warriors and Golden State Valkyries for the invitation. Check out our photos from the event!
