Heads up! Repairs are starting this week!

🛝Quick Time-Out for Tune-Ups!

The Kiwanis Inclusive Play Park at Rodger Young Park is getting a little TLC, and will be closed June1-3💛

🛠️ Repairs to the play surface will take place on Monday, June 1.
To allow for proper drying time (we promise it’s worth the wait!), the park will remain closed until Wednesday, June 3, reopening on Thursday, June 4 so everything is set, sealed, and ready to roll.

💙Thanks for your patience while we press pause—soon it’ll be back to climbing, sliding, and all-around playground-ing!

⚾ Pitch. Hit. Run. Have Fun!

We are proud to partner with Fremont, Ohio Kiwanis to host a local MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Competition on Thursday, June 4 from 6:00–8:00 PM at Rodger Young Park!

This FREE event is open to kids ages 7–14 of all genders and skill levels. Participants will compete in pitching, hitting, and running challenges, with the chance to advance through the official MLB Pitch, Hit & Run program.

Memorial Day Hours 🇺🇸

The Fremont Rec Center will be closed on Monday, May 25 in honor of Memorial Day.

Today, we remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Don’t forget to join the Fremont VFW downtown for the Memorial Day Parade at 10:00 AM.

We will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday.

Special Unveiling Honoring Mike Piero

Please join us this Saturday, May 23rd at 11:00am in the lobby of the Fremont Rec Center as we unveil a special tribute honoring Mike Piero.

Mike was a longtime and beloved City of Fremont employee, coworker, friend, and community member whose impact was felt by so many throughout the years. His kindness, dedication, and love for this community left a lasting mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Anyone who knew Mike, worked alongside him, or would like to help us honor his memory is invited to attend.
