🚧 Upcoming Road Work Notice - Fifth Street 🚧

Beginning September 10, 2026, crews will start curb and pavement work on Fifth Street.

To accommodate construction, a single southbound lane closure will be in place during construction. Traffic will continue to be maintained during this time.

If additional workspace is needed, a dual lane closure may be implemented, with one lane remaining open in each direction.

Please use caution when traveling through the work zone, watch for workers and equipment, and allow extra travel time if needed. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these improvements.💛

📜 Historical Fremont Fun Fact: South Fifth Street was once home to a busy Lake Shore Electric Railway yard and freight depot. During the early 1900s, electric trains carried passengers and freight through Fremont, connecting the community with cities across Northern Ohio. 🚋
