If you lost work due to the severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that took place in the affected areas from April 13, 2026 through April 23, 2026, you may be eligible for DUA. Please read below.

Governor Tony Evers has secured a major disaster declaration providing eligible workers in Bayfield, Brown, Buffalo, Jackson, Jefferson, Juneau, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Marathon, Milwaukee, Outagamie, Racine, Rock, Sauk, Vernon, Washington, Waukesha, Waupaca, and Winnebago Counties and the Oneida Nation with Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA).

If you lost work due to the severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that took place in the above affected areas from April 13, 2026 through April 23, 2026, you may be eligible for DUA.

For those impacted by the flooding this Spring, please note the financial assistance to uninsured or underinsured residents who suffered losses.

Winnebago County residents that were impacted by the April 13-23 severe weather, tornadoes, and flooding are eligible for federal financial assistance.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Individual Assistance (IA) Program provides direct financial assistance to uninsured or underinsured residents that suffered losses. To apply for the IA program, visit www.DisasterAssistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362.

If you would rather apply in-person, Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are available for impacted residents. Winnebago County will have a joint DRC with Waupaca County, Outagamie County, and Brown County beginning Monday, July 20, 2026.

Saturday, 10 AM - 1 PM
