Today we celebrated our amazing 4th graders during the 4th Grade Awards Ceremony! 🎓🌟 We are so proud of all they have accomplished during their time at FES. From academic achievements to leadership and growth, these students have worked so hard and made lasting memories along the way. UPDATE: as of 8:54 a.m. Per the WCSO the suspect is in custody. So the ALICE Heightened Security status at FES has been lifted.

As of 7:57 a.m., Freeport Elementary School was placed in an ALICE Heightened Security status out of an abundance of caution while the Sheriff’s Office works to locate an individual in the surrounding community, not on the FES campus. Our students or staff are not in immediate danger, and all safety protocols are being followed successfully.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff will always remain our top priority. We appreciate the cooperation of our students, staff, families, and local law enforcement as we worked through the situation with care and caution.
We will continue to keep families informed and will share more information as we learn more. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Just a reminder school is closed tomorrow.

Our summer food distribution begins June 3rd.
Information was in your students' bags last week, and flyers were sent out at school.

Summer food services are offered to children & families currently enrolled in our backpack program at their school in Walton & Okaloosa County.
