Want to know more about what's going on in Medicare? Attend a free “Getting Ready for Medicare” seminar offered by SHIBA* (Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors) volunteers. Join us on Tuesday, September 22nd from 1:00pm-3:00pm. This seminar covers:

“Basic” Medicare benefits and options for additional insurance(s)
When and how to apply
Medicare parts A and B costs, PLUS what is and isn’t covered
The differences between “Medigap” (supplemental) insurance and Advantage plans
Financial Assistance for qualifying low-income individuals
Prescription drug plans

Join us for the Friends of the Library Book Sale on Saturday September 12th from 10:00am-2:00pm.

Book sales are held in the library's meeting room from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month. Hundreds of books for all ages available by donation, or, fill a bag for $20.00! We accept cash, check, credit or debit cards, and Venmo. All proceeds go to the Friends of the Freeland Library and support library programs, services, and materials.

Toddler Storytime with Rebecca on Mondays from September 14th through November 30th from 10:00-11:00am.

Preschool Storytime with Jay on Tuesdays from September 8th through November 24th from 10:00-11:00am.

Join us on Friday September 4th from 11:00-12:00 for our first Homeschool Meet-up of the new school year. This month the library will provide supplies to design your own pencil pouch and make your own buttons. We hope to see you there!

Welcome all new and returning families to the start of our school year monthly homeschool meet-ups where families can connect, share experiences, and have fun. The library will provide a hands-on activity focused on art, STEM, or literacy, along with helpful information about available library resources. Activities will be geared toward the ages 5-10 but all ages are welcome to attend.

Join us for a Back to School Storytime on September 1st from 10:00-11:00.

Share fun books, songs, and creative activities with your child to prepare young minds for the adventure of reading. This Storytime will focus on going to school and geared towards ages 3-6. An art activity will follow.
