: This annual celebration falls on June 14th since that's when was adopted by the Second Continental Congress back in 1777. America's flag did look a bit different then, since each star represents a state and there were only 13 of them at the time. Every time America grew, our flag evolved, with its current design finalized in 1960 when Hawaii became the 50th state!

🗳Primary Election update!🗳 Counting of ballots in by the Board of Elections is now complete! Elections results become official once they are certified by the County Clerk. Mail-in ballot voters using BallotTrax should note that the system will not update to reflect that your ballot has been counted until after the election results have been certified. On June 6, 1944, Allied troops landed on the coast of Normandy in what would be one of the largest air, land and sea invasions in history. Known as D-Day, the Battle of Normandy was a major turning point in World War II to liberate Europe from Nazi-controlled Germany. On this anniversary of D-Day, Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon and the Monmouth County Clerk's Office remember and honor the heroes who fought on that historic day and are forever grateful for their sacrifice.
